A Uniontown man allegedly robbed his girlfriend of $2,000, pointed a gun at her and then called her from her house telling her to listen while he hurt her children.

State police charged Rasheme Lynwood Jones, 38, of Morgantown Road with robbery, aggravated assault, receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm prohibited, possession of marijuana, simple assault and six counts of terroristic threats. He is in Fayette County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail.

According to the affidavit of probable cause filed in his case, Jones showed up at his girlfriend’s workplace in Dunbar Saturday, yelling at Heather Jacobs and threatening her while demanding “the money.” She threw $2,000 in his SUV and he pointed “a shiny object” at her, prompting her to run away, police said. Before that, he reportedly called her multiple times threatening her and her children.

He then allegedly called Jacobs again, saying he would come back and “shoot up” her workplace, then threatened to go to her house in Uniontown, where her children were, and hurt them. Jacobs told police she checked her surveillance cameras, and saw he was outside the house.

“Just stay on the line and you will hear what I do to them,” he reportedly said on a phone call.

Additional state police vehicles rushed to the Morgantown Road address, where they found Jones outside and arrested him.

Police found $2,000 cash and a stolen handgun in his SUV, according to court paperwork. The silver Bauer .25-caliber semi-automatic handgun was reported stolen through state police in Waynesburg. He is a felon not to possess a weapon, police said.

Jones has an extensive criminal history. He is awaiting trial on two cases filed in 2018 for DUI and accidents involving death or personal injury. In 2004, he was sentenced to 18 to 36 months for leading state police on a chase through Uniontown in a stolen vehicle while armed, resulting in a collision with a pursuing trooper.

In 2009, he pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver in exchange for a sentence of 21 to 42 months. He pleaded guilty to robbery and related charges in 2000. In 1998, he was given credit for time served in a receiving stolen property case.
