Sarah Jane Cook-Patterson, 55, of Fairbank, was born May 13, 1963, to Marilyn Cook and the late Jack E. Cook. She departed this life February 24, 2019. Sarah was a graduate of Brownsville High School, class of 1981, where she was a member of the Brownsville Band and won the National/International Championship her senior year. She was also a graduate of Sawyer Business School. She was the president of the football, basketball and baseball boosters from 2003 to 2010. Sarah leaves behind two sons, Douglas (Breanna) Patterson and Zachary Patterson; six grandchildren who knew her as Va Va: Trevaughn, Silas, Jax, Jayce, De’Laney, Bianca, plus expecting one; sister Jackie (Lou) Cook Ridgley; brother Von Eric (Kathy) Cook; nephews Blake and Donavan Cook and Matthew Johnson; and niece Briayna Cook. Blake and Briayna were also her godchildren. She had a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, in Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 401 Baltimore Street, Brownsville, with the pastor, Douglas Wright, officiating. Final celebration has been gently placed in the hands of the HOUSE OF JACKSON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 546 Thompson Avenue, Donora, Karl Jackson, funeral director, 724-379-5420.
