Pedestrian killed by hit-and-run driver in Dunbar Township
A female pedestrian lost her life Friday night when she was struck by a hit and run driver in Dunbar Township.
State Police at Uniontown said the 54-year-old woman from Dunbar Township was struck by a motorist in an unidentified vehicle traveling southbound on Vanderbilt Road shortly before 8 p.m.
According to police, the woman was killed by the impact of the crash.
The driver then left the scene without contacting emergency personnel and police are currently looking for the driver. Another driver came upon the victim and reportedly called 911.
The name of the woman has not yet been released.
