Anne M. (Ratica) Toshok
Anne M. (Ratica) Toshok, age 91, of Victoria, TX, formerly of Brownsville, died March 11, 2019. Born in Vesta #6 on May 29, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Ballon) Ratica.
Anne graduated from Centerville High School, Class of 1946. On February 7, 1948, she married Charles E. Toshok. Anne was a home maker when not working at Hopsons Wall Paper and Paint Store in Brownsville, Italian Maid Pizza in West Brownsville, and Shures Men’s Clothing Store in Brownsville. Anne lived her final years in South Texas along the gulf coast with family, enjoying the sun and year round warm weather.
She was a member of the St. Nicholas B.C. Church, where she enjoyed volunteering. She was also a member of Beth Center Senior Center in Vestaburg, the American Legion #391 and enjoyed doing ceramics, crocheting, knitting and was a bowler at Klondike Lanes in Masontown and Gudaks Lanes in Brownsville.
In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Toshok; brother, William J. Ratica of Low Hill as well as numerous aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her nephew, Joseph Ratica and his wife Robin, and their daughters of Victoria, TX; and numerous cousins. Anne lived a full life and will be sadly missed by friends and family.
A Graveside Service will be held at the LaFayette Memorial Park Chapel on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Fr. Christopher Burke officiating.
