Markleysburg man reported missing

A Markleysburg man who suffers from mental health problems and other medical issues was reported missing Monday.

Authorities said Edward Dave Eakle, 43, of 4508 National Pike went to a doctor’s appointment at Chestnut Ridge on New Salem Road in Uniontown Monday afternoon and never returned home. He was last seen on surveillance footage leaving the medical facility at about 12:45 p.m. State police said no one has seen or heard from Eakle since then.

He is 6 feet tall, weighing 150 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He is balding, clean shaven and wears eye glasses. He was last seen wearing a hat, a red and black plaid jacket, blue jeans and white tennis shoes carrying a black backpack, according to state police.

Officials said he suffers from schizophrenia and high blood pressure.
