A woman who was wanted on a felony warrant allegedly smoked crack cocaine before leading state police on a chase early Tuesday, which ended when she rolled her vehicle 12 times, landing on a deck.

State police spotted Robin Palmer, 43, of Darby Street in Fairchance at about 12:45 a.m. and attempted to stop her when she drove through a stop sign at the intersection of West Main Street and South Mill Street, according to court documents.

According to the affidavit of probable cause filed in her case, she pulled over onto the right curb of New Salem Road, but then fled, driving between 90 and 110 miles per hour in a 45-mile-per-hour zone. Police said she swerved out of her lane several times and nearly collided with an oncoming vehicle. She then hit a culvert, which caused her vehicle to spin 180 degrees and then roll about 12 times. The vehicle stopped on a deck at 776 New Salem Road, causing damage.

She was taken to Uniontown Hospital for treatment. Palmer was arraigned Wednesday night, following her release from the hospital.

She reportedly admitted to state police she used crack cocaine before the crash and took a prescribed medication. Police found a cocaine smoking device and a partially smoked marijuana joint in the vehicle, according to court documents.

Palmer was wanted on drug and firearm charges filed July 9 in Springfield Township. She was charged in that case with possession of firearm prohibited, receiving stolen property, and two counts each of possession with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance for an incident April 12. She was also arraigned in that case Wednesday night. Bail was set at $20,000.

In the new case, she is charged with flight to avoid apprehension, fleeing or attempting to elude officer, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI and criminal mischief. She was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Daniel C. Shimshock, who set bail at $20,000. She remains in Fayette County Prison in lieu of bail.
