Richard J. Hamilla, 59, of Carlisle, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 5, 2019, at UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle.
Born September 9, 1960, in Lewisburg, he was a son of Paul Hamilla Sr. and the late Antonia Shumar Hamilla.
Rich was employed by ABF Freight. He was a member of the Sons of Italy in Perryopolis, and Teamsters Local 776. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and auto racing, and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters.
Rich is survived by his father, Paul Hamilla Sr.; his loving wife of 37 years, Amy Roadcap Hamilla; sons Brian and Daniel Hamilla, both of Carlisle; granddaughters August and Savana Hamilla; brother John Hamilla; godmother Dolores Logoyda; uncle Ted Hamilla; aunt Brenda Holler; many nieces, nephews, cousins and his very close and loving extended family. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Hamilla Jr.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, October 11, at HOFFMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the start of the service.
