50-year-old man killed in two-vehicle accident in German Township
A 50-year-old man suffered fatal injuries in a two-vehicle crash on McClellandtown Road in German Township Sunday afternoon.
State police did not identify the victim. A passenger in the vehicle, Kimberly A. Guesman, 50, of Carmichaels, was seriously injured. Both the man and Guesman were ejected from the vehicle, police said.
Authorities said a black Ford F-150 driven by Dylan I. Lewis, 18, of New Salem, hit a silver Honda CRV on the driver’s side at about 2 p.m. at the intersection of Route 21 (McClellandtown Road) and Bukovitz Farm Road. The Honda overturned.
The name of the man will be released pending the notification of next of kin, police said.
Neither of the people in the Honda were wearing seat belts, police said.
Lewis also suffered a minor injury in the crash. He was treated on the scene by Fayette EMS.
State police are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
