Robert A. Sanner, Jr.

Robert A. Sanner Jr., 72, of Smithfield, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019, in the Peroni’s Personal Care Home.
He was born February 27, 1947 in Uniontown, a son of Robert A. Sanner, Sr. and Madeline Collins Sanner. In addition to his parents, Chip was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Sanner.
Chip was a graduate of Fairchance-Georges High School with the class of 1965. He served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves as a Military Policeman. Chip followed his military career by working for the Washington D.C. Police Department. He then worked for SuperValu for 36 years before his retirement.
Chip enjoyed working with computers, building and flying airplanes. He was a member of Western Pennsylvania Teamsters.
Left to cherish Chip’s memory are son, Robert C. Sanner and wife Erica of Sewickley; a daughter, Laurie Mertz and husband Robert of Antioch, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Dylan Sanner and Keira Sanner; three sisters, Bonnie Robinson and husband David of Milford, Texas, Nancy Evansek of Uniontown and Mamie Fink of California, Pa.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown. Arrangements are private at his request.
