Uniontown City Police are looking for the driver of this Nissan Ultima who hit a Laurel Highlands Middle School bus filled with students at the intersection of Reppert Boulevard and Connellsville Street at about 3:30 p.m. and fled the scene.

Uniontown City Police are looking for the driver of this Nissan Ultima who hit a Laurel Highlands Middle School bus filled with students.

Uniontown City Police are searching for a driver who hit a Laurel Highlands Middle School bus filled with students, and then fled on foot.

There were 24 students on the bus. None of the students or the bus driver was injured, according to Uniontown City Police Lt. Tom Kolencik.

Police were called to the intersection of Connellsville Street and Reppert Boulevard just before 3:30 p.m. for a report of a two-vehicle accident involving a school bus. When police arrived, they learned the driver and passenger fled on foot.

The vehicle is a silver Nissan Ultima. Both the driver and passenger were females, police said. Witnesses told police the driver tried to flee in the vehicle, but it was inoperable.

Police are speaking with witnesses and looking for leads to identify the driver.
