Total: $2,632

Goal: $15,000

The Give-A-Christmas total continues to grow, with another $2,021 donated over the past several days.

“We’re continuing to climb toward our goal,” said campaign mascot Sparkle The Christmas Star. “Thank you to all who have sent donations, lovely notes and cards.”

For the past 37 years, the Herald Standard has held Give-A-Christmas to help support programs at local chapters of The Salvation Army, including centers in Uniontown, Connellsville, Masontown and Markleysburg.

The 2021 campaign raised $32,434, well exceeding the $15,000 goal.

“I know we can surpass our goal again,” said Sparkle, reminding readers there are two weeks left in the campaign.

The final total will be announced in the Christmas Eve/Christmas Day edition of the newspaper.

Updates on the campaign’s progress will appear in the newspaper on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays so readers can watch donations grow.
