A Uniontown man is wanted for attempted homicide in connection to a shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon.

In addition to attempted homicide, Uniontown police charged Lemaur John Thompson, 49, with aggravated assault, prohibited possession of a firearm, reckless endangerment and simple assault.

According to the criminal complaint, at about 3:15 p.m., Thompson pulled up to a home in the 200 block of Prospect Street and fired a gun at Christopher Slade.

Slade was not hit, and Thompson then chased Slade for a short distance before returning to his vehicle, according to court records.

Police said that video footage corroborates Slade’s version of events.
