A Uniontown man was placed in the Fayette County Prison after allegedly going to a city house wearing a tactical ballistic vest and armed with a gun.

Joshua Edward Kilo, 23, of 147 Zebley Road, was arraigned Saturday before District Judge Richard Kasunic II on charges of aggravated assault, unlawful body armor, terroristic threats and simple assault.

According to the criminal complaint filed by Uniontown police, Kilo was one of four people who went to the house on Liberty Street shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday to retrieve some of his brother’s belongings. Kilo reportedly told police he wore the vest because the group had been threatened by the resident of the house at an earlier time.

The complaint further stated that a woman in the home told police Kilo pulled out a gun and ordered her to “get on the floor and stop,” while pointing the gun at her. Police said the woman had a scratch on the right side of her face and bruising on the right side of her neck and right arm.

Kilo was placed in the Fayette County Prison on $50,000 bail. A preliminary hearing has been set for Sept. 7 before District Judge Jason Cox.
