1 min read

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that bridge preservation work is scheduled to begin next week on a portion of Route 40 in South Union Township.

Single-lane restrictions will be in place on Route 40 in both directions between Morgantown Street/Route 119 and Walnut Hill Road.

Lane restrictions are anticipated from Thursday, Sept. 14 through early-to-mid October.

The work is part of a $2.4 million bridge preservation project that includes installation of latex concrete overlay on five different bridges throughout Fayette County and other bridge repair work.
