Joshua Yucha

The Education Council of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce recently honored Joshua Yucha of Masontown, a junior at Fayette County Career and Technical Institute, as a student of the month for February.

A son of Kristin Yucha and Michael Yucha, he is undecided about the post secondary school he will attend, but plans to study in the electrical field with the career goal of furthering his education as an electrician.

Yucha has received the Perfect Attendance Award from the Challenge Program, the highest grade average and a Skills USA silver medal.

He is a member of Boy Scout Troop 643 working on his Eagle Scout Project for the Brown’s Run Trail, is involved in the Skills USA at his school and has work experience at Maccabee Industrial, Inc.

Elected by their schools based on academic achievement, extra curricular activities, and citizenship, students of the month are honored by the chamber’s Education Council. They will be presented a recognition certificate at the Students of the Month Dinner in April.

The Fayette County Career and Technical Institute Students of the Month (2nd semester) were sponsored by Dynegy.
