Got an oddball collectible buried deep in a basement or in the most remote corner of an attic? Then “American Pickers” is interested in you.

The long-running History Channel documentary series will be in Pennsylvania in April, according to a news release from Cineflix Productions, the producers of “American Pickers.” No specific locations or dates were made available and a representative of the company could not be reached for comment, but they are looking for what they describe as “forgotten relics.” They are also on the hunt for “characters with amazing stories.”

Collectors who are interested in being featured on “American Pickers” can send an email message to AmericanPickers@cineflix.com, or call 646-493-2184, and provide contact information, their full name and a brief description of their collection. The producers of “American Pickers” also emphasize that they are not interested in items that are already in antique stores or museums, part of a flea market or auction, or anything else that is open to the public.

When the series began, it was hosted by Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, but Fritz has been sidelined since July 2022 after having a stroke. Recent installments of “American Pickers” have been hosted by Wolfe, his brother, Rob Wolfe, Jersey Jon and Danielle Colby.

Episodes of “American Pickers” this season have featured “a Godzilla-size” collection of movie posters, a “mad-scientist collection of antique quackery and medical equipment,” automobile clocks and storyboards and scripts from “The Simpsons.”

The series has been described as a cross between “Antiques Roadshow” and “Hoarders,” but Mike Wolfe told Southeastern Antiquing and Collecting Magazine in 2011 that there is a critical difference between “American Pickers” and “Hoarders.” He explained that “the people we come across are collectors; they are proud people who are proud of their collections. On ‘Hoarders,’ no one was proud.”
