A Greene County man has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting late Friday night in Station Square.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner said David Anthony Utley-Ralph, 25, of Mt. Morris, was pronounced dead at 11:55 p.m. Friday at UPMC Mercy Hospital.

According to the Pittsburgh Public Safety Department Facebook page, city police responded to 230 West Station Square Drive at about 11:20 p.m. Friday for a reported shooting.

Officers located Utley-Ralph outside with gunshot wounds to his pelvis. He was initially conscious and alert as officers applied a tourniquet to stem the bleeding.

His condition quickly deteriorated, and medics transported him in critical condition.

Police are searching for a smaller U-Haul box truck that fled the area. There are no suspect descriptions at this time, and no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.

Cara Cruz, Pittsburgh police spokesperson, said Sunday afternoon the investigation is active and ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to call Police headquarters at 412-323-7800.
