Crews battle fire at C&C Granite

Multiple fire departments responded to a fire at C&C Granite in South Union Township Wednesday.

One person was hospitalized Wednesday evening after a fire broke out at a South Union Township business.

According to Fayette County’s Emergency Management Agency, fire departments were called to C&C Granite at 71 Lebanon Ave. at about 5:55 p.m.

One person was taken from the scene by ambulance to Uniontown Hospital. EMA could not identify the person, and it was not clear how seriously the person was injured.

According to EMA, the scene was cleared shortly after 10:30 p.m. The state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.

In addition to South Union Township Fire Department, fire departments from Hopwood, Uniontown and Fairchance also responded.
