Fayette County man acquitted of sexual assault charges

A McClellandtown man accused of rape was acquitted following a jury trial last week in Fayette County.

On April 2, Kirk Raymond Klinger, 28, was found not guilty on charges of rape, involuntary diviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault without the consent of other, simiple assault and harassment. A count of aggravated assault was dismissed by the judge.

He was charged in February, 2022, accused of assaulting a woman who was at his home in 2020.
