Dunbar Township chiropractor faces additional charges for alleged sexual assault of patients
A Connellsville man accused of sexually assaulting patients at his chiropractic practice now faces additional charges after another patient accused him of similar behavior.
State police filed the new charges against Jon E. Rumbaugh Feb. 9 through the office of District Judge Richard Kasunic. He now faces two additional misdemeanors of indecent assault and invasion of privacy. Rumbaugh was previously charged with four misdemeanors on Dec. 20.
The alleged assaults occurred at Rumbaugh’s at 1310 Morrell Ave. in Dunbar Township.
All charges were issued via summons.
The first set of charges focused on two patients of Rumbaugh’s, one of whom alleged he massaged her breast at an October 2021 appointment, and another who claimed she had a similar experience in January 2022.
At the time, state police issued a plea for any other potential victims to come forward.
Police interviewed the third victim on Dec. 22, two days after the initial charges were filed.
This patient told investigators that she had seen Rumbaugh in February 2022 for back pain. According to the complaint, she also alleged that Rumbaugh began to massage her breasts during the appointment.
Rumbaugh is due to appear before Kasunic at 1:30 p.m. March 13 for a preliminary hearing on both sets of charges.
