Vacant home destroyed in fire

Shortly after 1 a.m. Thursday Uniontown Fire Department was called to 26 S. Grant St. after a patrolling police officer discovered it was on fire. Uniontown fire Chief Scott Conn said crews arrived to find the fire had spread to the first and second floor. Conn described the structure as a vacant, single family home. No injuries were reported. Also responding to the scene were South Union and Hopwood fire companies.
