1 min read

State police have issued an arrest warrant for two people from Chicago accused of stealing more than $22,000 from a Dunbar Township business.

On Monday Nathaniel Man Coles, 51, and Constance Latoya Lott, 40, were charged with felonies of theft by deception, forgery and identity theft. They also face misdemeanors of writing bad checks.

According to the criminal complaint, in January, Edge Ovens reported that the money had been withdrawn from five different Somerset Trust bank branches with fraudulent checks.

Investigators found that security footage from the banks showed Coles and Lott at the bank locations in a vehicle that had been rented out of Chicago.

According to the complaint, police learned that Coles had attempted to rent a hotel room in Johnstown.

Neither Coles nor Lott has been arrested.
