‘Lettuce’ celebrate

Five-year-old Spencer Silbaugh, son of Emily Gabelt of Kiesterville, sorts foods to make a balanced meal in his lunch box with Dawn Cummings, instructor aide at Head Start. The Lemont Furnace program, which has been offering services in Fayette County for 30 years, recently held its Munch, Mingle and Move celebration to encourage healthy eating. Run by the Private Industry Council of Westmoreland/Fayette, Head Start provides no-cost educational services that support the development of children from birth to 5 years old.
