North Fayette customers required to cut back on water use
The North Fayette County Municipal Authority issued a requirement that customers reduce water usage by 5%.
The usage reduction comes as a result of a state request for voluntary water conservation due to drought conditions, according to a release from the municipal authority.
Conservation methods include: not watering lawns; providing drinking water in restaurants only when asked; flushing toilets less often; not letting faucets run while washing or rinsing dishes; not prewashing dishes and washing only full loads of clothes or dishes.
