Police briefs Sept. 13

Aggravated assault: State police charged Robin L. Kessler, 50, of Smithfield with aggravated assault and terroristic threats after she allegedly pointed a loaded rifle at a man only identified in court paperwork as B. Kessler on Wednesday just before 7 p.m. in the 200 block of Potprocky Ashby Ford Road. Police also accused Robin Kessler of threatening to kill the man. Court paperwork indicated he disarmed her and she fled. She has yet to be arraigned in the case.

Theft: Brian Roy Kozy, 41, of Carmichaels, is charged with accepting money for work to be done through his business Seal-Rite, but not performing the work. State police listed nine alleged victims in court paperwork, and noted the total loss as $1,550. Kozy accepted the money between late spring and summer of this year, police said. He faces 24 total counts including deceptive business practices, theft by deception and failing to perform services for which he was paid. Kozy has yet to be arraigned in the case.
