Pleasant View Presbyterian Church in Smock is sponsoring “Loads of Love” days at Mod Laundromat, 503 Union St., Brownsville on Sundays, Feb. 22 and March 29 from 1 to 4 p.m. Those who need help paying for laundry costs are invited to do their laundry at this time.

The Masontown Community Kitchen will hold its free dinner on Tuesday, Feb. 24 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 102 W. Church Ave., Masontown. The menu is roasted pork chops, cabbage and noodles, homemade desserts and bread. Donations are accepted and help to pay for future meals. Mon Valley Paws will hold its monthly reorganization meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at the Italian Club, 112 7th St., Monessen at 6 p.m. The meeting is open to anyone who wants to make a difference in the lives of animals. For more information, call 724-493-8305.

Help is needed with unloading the food bank truck at the First Christian Church, 512 Second St., Brownsville on Friday, Feb. 27 at 9 a.m. The food bank will be open on Saturday, Feb. 28 from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

California UMC, 227 Third St., California, is giving away all winter outwear on Feb. 27-28 at its Care and Share Thrift Store, which is open 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays.

The African American History & Cultural Center of Fayette County, Pa. is sponsoring a free workshop called Storytelling and Community Archiving at East End United Community Center, 150 Coolspring St., Uniontown on Saturday, Feb. 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The workshop will discuss the importance of community storytelling, preserving history through archival development and provide ways to collaborate with members of the community to engage them in storytelling. There will be a spaghetti dinner held at the American Legion in Masontown on Sunday, March 1 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Adults are $12 and children are $6. The dinner is sponsored by the auxiliary and the Sons of the American Legion.

Stepping Stones Bereavement Support will begin the spring program on Monday, March 2, at 7 p.m. Meetings are held at Third Presbyterian Church, 425 Union St., Uniontown. The non-denominational program is open to newly bereaved persons as well as those still dealing with a loss. There is no cost to participate. 4 C Ministry of the Republic Christian Church, Route 166, Republic will be open for the public to purchase new and gently-used clothing and household supplies on Wednesday, March 4 from 10 a.m. to noon.

The Brownsville Area Ministerial Association’s Food For Falcons food program is collecting Pop-Tarts and ravioli bowls during the months of March and April. There will be a donation area in each participating BAMA church. Volunteers are needed to pack the items at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4 at Brownsville First Christian Church, 512 Second St., Brownsville.

Lenten Worship Services will be held on March 5 at Republic Christian Church, Route 166, Republic; March 12 at Fort Burd United Presbyterian Church, 200 Thornton Road, Brownsville; March 19 at Pleasant View Presbyterian Church, 533 Royal Road, Smock; March 26 at Brownsville First Christian Church, 512 Second St., Brownsville. All services are at 7 p.m.

There will be an eat-in or take-out fish fry on Friday, March 6 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at St. Mary’s Social Hall, 118 Church St., Brownsville.

Fresh Fire Church will hold a food give away at the old Sears store at the Uniontown Mall on Thursday, March 12 from 10 a.m. to noon.

There will be a Fish Fry on Friday, March 13, , from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at St. Mary’s Social Hall 118 Church St., Brownsville. The public is invited to eat-in or take-out!

The St. Vincent de Paul-sponsored food bank will be held on Wednesday, March 18, from 11 a.m. to noon at the parking lot of the St. Mary’s Social Hall, 118 Church St., Brownsville. Families must be registered with Fayette County Community Action Agency in order to receive food.

There will be an eat-in or take-out Fish Fry on Friday, March 20, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at St. Mary’s Social Hall 118 Church St., Brownsville.

There will be a food bank at Pleasant View Presbyterian Church, 533 Royal Road, Smock on Saturday, March 21 at 10 a.m.

There will be a blood drive at the First Christian Church of Brownsville, 512 Second St., Brownsville on Tuesday, March 24, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Schedule an appointment at www.redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-733-2767.

The Uniontown Amateur Radio Club holds its meetings on the first and third Wednesdays of every month at 7 p.m. at the club building, 433 Old Pittsburgh Road, Uniontown. Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville is holding a weekly meeting for women and teenage girls to discuss issues like depression, grief and eating disorders. Meetings are on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

On Mondays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., the addiction recovery ministry There is Hope will be held at Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville.
