A project to renovate six restrooms at the Connellsville Community Center is moving forward after the Connellsville Redevelopment Authority voted to accept an engineering proposal from Widmer Engineering at its regular meeting Monday.
The project is part of the city’s 2018 Community Development Block Grant funding to renovate the two restrooms on each floor of the community center. The redevelopment authority has $220,000 budgeted for the project.

In addition to this project, the city has also allocated a portion of its 2019 CDBG funding to another community center project – the rehabilitation of the swimming pool.
In other business, the authority approved the payment of the following bills:
n City of Connellsville, $1,667.78 for October code enforcement activities;
n Ductz HVAC and Plumbing, $19,183.59 for second payment for work at the senior citizen’s center;
