A traffic stop on Route 119 in Uniontown late Thursday night led to the closure of the road for nearly an hour and a half after state police discovered explosives in the car.

Tpr. Robert Broadwater of the state police’s Uniontown barracks said, “The incident is contained with no threat to the public.”

He cautioned the public that some information being circulated on social media may not be accurate regarding the incident.

“No plot of violence was discovered at this time,” he added.

At this point, Broadwater said no further information is being released and the investigation is ongoing.
