Pearl M. Cordwell

Pearl M. Cordwell, 80, of Point Marion, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023, at her home.
Born January 24, 1943, in Morgantown, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Glenn and Etta Mae Triplett Simpkins.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Joyce (Warren) Nicklow of Lake Lynn, with whom she resided; three sons, Russell and Mark Cordwell, both of Ohio, and Raymond Cordwell of Oregon; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronnie and Johnny Simpkins; and two sisters, Carolyn Simpkins and Linda McCabe.
Her husband, Donald Cordwell, passed away on April 5, 2015. Also deceased are sons, Donald and Carl; and daughters, Patty and Priscilla.
Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, and from 11 until the 12 Noon time of service, Wednesday, with Pastor Kathy Griffith officiating. Interment follows in Springhill Union Cemetery, Lake Lynn.
The family would like to thank the Amedisys Hospice for the love and care given to Pearl during her illness.
