Darlene Swaney, 76, of Fairchance, passed away with her loving family by her side in WVU Uniontown Hospital on Sunday, March 31, 2024.
She was born December 28, 1947, in Uniontown.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Ernest and Mabel Cole Yauger; brother, Delbert Yauger; sisters, Betty Collins, Nancy Tate and Judy Yauger; and her daughter, Christine Eleanor Swaney.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Wayne Swaney; two children, Gary Swaney and his wife, Mary, and Jamie Haines and her husband, Terry; grandchildren, Lauren Swaney and Emily Haines; sister, Donna Yauger; brothers, James Yauger and Barry Yauger; several nieces and nephews; and her loving dog, Ginger.
Darlene was previously employed at the Sunporch Restaurant in Hopwood and formerly employed at Sweet Peas in Fairchance until her retirement.
The family will receive friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3. Private interment will happen at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance.
