Gerald A. Grimes, 86, of Uniontown, passed away at his home on Friday, December 6, 2024 surrounded by his family.
He was born on April 19, 1938, in Uniontown, son of the late James and Nora Sterbutzel Grimes.
Jerry was retired from Sensus Technology, formerly Rockwell. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Menallen Grange, Golden Group of St. Francis of Assisi, and had served in the Army Reserves. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 53 years, Barbara E. Freiberg Grimes; daughter, Debra Ramos-Herrera and husband, Jesus; son, Gerald Grimes, Jr.; granddaughter, Amaya Ramos-Herrera; grandson, Joshua Ramos-Herrera; great-grandson, Alex Gonzalez; sister, Audrey Boger and husband, Harold; and nieces, nephews and their families.
Friends will be received at THE DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, PA 15468, from 2 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and from 10 until the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with Pastor Anderson officiating. Entombment to follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.
