Donald Eugene Yingling, of Fairchance, passed away suddenly Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the age of 69.
Donald was born October 21, 1955, in Detroit, Mich., a son of the late Shirley Irene Speelman and Donald Ray Yingling.
He acquired his GED and went on to join the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged and continued to work construction for many years. In the Air Force he gained an electronics background and continued his electronics career with Sony and Boeing until reaching retirement in 2020.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kimberly Kay Yingling; and his parents, Donald and Shirley Yingling.
He is survived by his daughter, Kayla Yingling and her fiance, Ryan Paull; his stepdaughter, Tara Kurt and husband Kris; stepdaughter, Trisha Schobert and husband Eddie; brother, Merle Yingling; sister, Renee Herchko and husband Paul; sister, Paula James and husband Danny; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, December 13, in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME in Fairchance, with the Reverend Marc Trujillo of Cherry Tree Alliance officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. Military Rites will be accorded by General Marshall Amvets Post 103.
