Margaret Sylvia Santillo, 71, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully Friday, January 26, 2024, in Henry Clay Villa. She was born November 1, 1952, a daughter of the late James and Leona Lewis.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents; husband, John Santillo Sr.; son, John Santillo Jr.; brothers, Edward and James Lewis; and her grandchildren, Alex McMaster and Elizabeth Silbaugh.
She spent her earlier years focusing on raising her five children. Later on, she worked at various McDonald’s restaurants in the area.
Her hobbies included music and movies. Margaret loved dinner with friends and family and enjoyed traveling. She also enjoyed spoiling the grandchildren. She loved animals and would spend most visits to family also spoiling the family pets.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mark Santillo and fiancee Crystal Morris of Masontown, Michael Santillo and wife Roilin of Republic, Amy Santillo and husband Dale McMaster of Uniontown, Laurie Silbaugh and husband James of Masontown.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Sarah, Serena, Aubrey, Wyatt, Jarrett and Madison; brother, Ken Lewis; and sister, Donna Franks.
Special thanks to all of the employees and staff of Henry Clay Villa. Margaret was battling dementia and the staff took great care of her.
Arrangements are under the direction of SHELL FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown. Margaret will be cremated and later re-united with her husband, John at Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
