Robert L. Medlock
Cleveland, Ohio
Robert L. “Naters” Medlock, 82, of Cleveland, Ohio, and formerly of Filbert, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 29, 2024.
He was born on March 20, 1941, in Filbert, a son of the late Frank and Helen Vacha Medlock, Sr.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Arlene Medlock; brothers, Frank, Jr. and William; and sisters, Dolores Steck and Shirley Orr.
Robert is survived by his brother, Larry Medlock and wife, Patty of Brownsville; sisters: Mary Ann Perkins of Uniontown, Dorothy Norman of Hibbs and Helen Polkabla and husband, Thomas of Flatwoods. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob graduated from Redstone High School Class of 1961.
He was a Veteran of The United States Army.
Bob retired from Stouffer’s Frozen Foods of Cleveland, Ohio, after 33 years of service. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and trapping. He was an avid sports fan, loving his Pittsburgh teams – which wasn’t a popular thing to do while living in Cleveland and rooting for Pittsburgh, which he loved to do.
Bob was the middle child of nine. He grew up in a coal mine patch in Filbert. He played baseball for Filbert and also bowled and set bowling pins at Fairbank Bowling Lanes. He was a kind hearted, loving man who made friends easily. I know he is playing baseball and hanging around the street light telling stories with his friends and family in Heaven.
Rest in Peace Naters! We love you and you will be missed!
