Fairchance

Betty Sulak, 93, of Fairchance, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024, with her loving family by her side.

She was born November 13, 1930, in York Run.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Jerry and Marie Trout; siblings, Ken Trout, Melvin Trout, Bill Trout and Leonard Trout; and her loving husband of 69 years, Bernard Sulak.

Surviving are her three children, Deborah Sulak of Houston, Texas, Alvin and Charlene Sulak of Marshall, Va., and Chris and Deb Sulak of Mico, Texas; grandchildren, Christiana and Ivan Gonzalez of Laredo, Texas, Joshua and Suzelle Sulak of Grand Prairie, Texas, Jarek Sulak of Pittsburgh and Justin Sulak of Champaign, Ill.; great- grandchildren, Ambrose Sulak, Calix Sulak, Anne Gonzalez and Wade Bernard Gonzalez on the way; and very close niece, Anita Appleby. She is also survived by nieces and nephews across the country.

Betty was a member of Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown, the Confraternity of Christian Mothers and a volunteer at Saint Vincent DePaul in Uniontown.

The family will receive friends and family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 23, and until 1 p.m. Saturday, February 24, when prayers of transfer will be said, in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, followed by her Funeral Mass at 1:30 p.m. in Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 180 Old Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown.

The Rosary will be recited at 7:15 p.m. Friday.

Interment will follow in Mount Saint Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown.
