Kimberly Jo Burrell, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully, in her home, Tuesday, February 20, 2024. She was 64 years old.

She was born to Janet Burrell and the late Henry Gamble November 10, 1959, in Uniontown.

Kimberly was the youngest of three children to her mother; but was the second oldest of her father’s 13 children.

She was a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School, Class of 1978. After graduating, she earned her degree in restaurant and hotel management.

Kimberly loved her Lord Jesus Christ and was a member of Mount Olivet Baptist Church. She was a volunteer of the Foster Grandparent program.

She loved playing board games with her granddaughters, especially Scrabble. She enjoyed completing color by numbers and crossword puzzles. She loved to travel and shop, “beauty time.” She loved watching old reruns of Good Times, the Jeffersons, and the Andy Griffith show. Her all-time favorite was the Flintstones. Kimberly loved all genres of music and had a wide range of collections. Her favorite entertainer of all time was Michael Jackson.

Kimberly was a particularly good writer and kept detailed journals of her life. Her beautiful talents and creative spirit were displayed through her arts and crafts.

She had a big, sensitive heart that she wore on her sleeve. She was thoughtful, loving, and funny, yet at times stern and always kept it real.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Diane “Mindy” Burrell, Wallace Burrell, Ryan Gamble, Adam Gamble, and Keith Gamble.

She is survived by her mother, Janet Burrell; her children, Ariane C. Burrell and Alexis Burrell; grandchildren, Julien Frame, Czcarra Burrell and Aryaana Burrell; siblings, Brandi Gamble, Kim Gamble, Daryl Gamble, Brandon Gamble, and many other brothers and sisters; aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins; family friends, Elliott Sherman Sledge, Terri Thomas, and childhood friends of 50-plus years, Barbara Ann Jones and Stanton Ramsey.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of service, Saturday, March 2, in the LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, INC., 297 E. Main Street, Uniontown, with Pastor Vincent L. Winfrey, Sr. officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Thomas Cemetery in Hopwood.
