New Salem

Rebecca Price, 81, of New Salem, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.

Rebecca was born October 14, 1942, in Maidsville, W.Va., to Lloyd and Grace Lemley Robinson.

Rebecca graduated from University High School in 1960. She was employed at the Hotel Morgan for over 20 years starting as a desk clerk and ending as assistant manager. Rebecca also worked at the WVU Ruby gift shop during her son’s illness.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilford S. Price Jr.; her beloved son, Wilford “Stanley” Price III; as well as her sisters, Mary Margaret Cyzick Mason and Willa Jo Cooper.

Rebecca is survived by her two sisters and family, Linda (Edward) Loudin, and Jill (Charles) Sujansky, both of Westover, W.Va. She is also survived by her fiance, Charles Eagle and family of New Salem.

The family would like to thank hospice for her care, and a very special thank you to Mary Kelley and Cindy Johnson for their love and support.

Rebecca will be buried at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, at Lafayette Memorial Park in Brier Hill, with a graveside committal service conducted by Pastor David Douthitt. Please go to Chapel Mausoleum for the service.
