Sue D. Villaneuva
Dunbar
Sue D. Villaneuva, 74, of Dunbar, went to be with her Lord Thursday, January 4, 2024, in AHN Jefferson Hospital, with her family by her side. Sue was born October 20, 1949, in Somerset, a daughter of the late Maurice S. McClintock and Hazel Bowser.
Sue was employed as an LPN at the Laurel Ridge Center for 36 years.
She was a member of the BPO Elks #503 of Connellsville and a member of Leisenring Presbyterian Church.
Sue had a great deal of pastimes, which included reading and shopping and spending quality time with her family.
Above all, Sue loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother and is survived by her children, Joseph G. Villaneuva, Jr. and wife Maurita of Connellsville, Cheryl Villaneuva of Dunbar, and Noel Villaneuva and wife Robin of Dunbar.
She was a proud grandmother to Brittney Villaneuva of West Mifflin, Justin and Cassandra Villaneuva of Connellsville, Amanda and Thomas Patton of Connellsville, Tristan M. Kozel of Houston, Texas, and Nicole and Dale Grubbs of Connellsville.
She was an adoring great-grandmother to Addison, Hunter, Aubree, Emma, Chase, Bentley and Joziah; Sue also loved her extended family, Josh and Nicole Villaneuva of Uniontown and their children, Baleigh, Selena, Isabelle, Gabriella and Zoey, Brian Sullenburger, and Brenda Workman; and her best friend and partner in crime, Judy Butler and family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her grandson, Joseph “Jojo” L. Villaneuva; her loving companion, Frank Martin; and her brother, Max Bowser.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, in BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 111 E. Green Street, Connellsville, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 11, with Pastor Joshua Scully officiating. Interment will follow at Addison Cemetery.
