James Robert White
James Robert “Jimmy” White, 79, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side, Thursday, January 11, 2024, in the Uniontown Hospital.
He was born January 9, 1945, in Uniontown, a son of late Robert and Dorothy Crago White.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 60 years, Karen Huber White; and his three daughters, Amy Jo Ambrisco (Brian), Debra Lynn White (Steve McGalla), and Lisa Marie Hampe (Michael); grandchildren, Matthew Hampe (Nikki), Kaley Kanuch, Ally Ambrisco, Jayce Hampe, and Tanner Ambrisco.
He was known and loved for his many attributes including Elvis Tribute Artist and honorary life member and commander of the Sons of the American Legion Post 51.
He also held the occupation as a machinist at Census for 51 years and was an ordained minister with Universal Life Church.
His additional hobbies included a Sensei Shotokan karate instructor, and a member of the Fairchance Gun Club.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, where visitation continues from 10 until the 11 a.m. hour of service Wednesday, January 17.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be given to the American Legion Post 51, 508 E. Main Street, Uniontown, PA 15401.
