James Marshall Dean, 89, a dedicated and loving husband, father, uncle, grandfather and friend, passed away in Yuma, Arizona, Monday, January 22, 2024.
James Marshall was born January 6, 1935, in Flatwoods, Pennsylvania.
James was predeceased by his parents, Harry McKinley Dean and Margaret Catherine Dean; siblings: Arrena E. Dean Leichliter, Dorothy Sylvania Dean, two sets of unnamed infant twins, Effin Springer Dean, George William Dean, Harry Luther Dean, Marion J. Dean, Katherine Ruth Dean, MaryOlla Dean and Howard Donald Dean; a daughter, Beth Ann Dean; and a son-in-law, Ronald G. Smith.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Clarice Pauline; daughters by his first wife, Susan E. Smith and Laura Lea Do and husband, Nghia; daughters by marriage, Cindi Ann Hansen, Cheryl Kay Smith and husband, Randal and Laurene Jo Schmit and husband, Ronald; grandchildren: Mable Grace Ward and husband, David, Marshall David Smith and wife, Shawna, Carey Virginia Gonzalez and husband, Luis, Jacob Gilmore Smith, Zachariah Andrew Smith and wife, Sharee and Tucker Collin Do and their families, which include many great and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews: James Dean, Wilma Robbins, Marlene Brosky, McKinley Dean, Gloria Carocci, William Dean, Sharon Hill, Janet Trees, Carol Hinson, Ruth Ann Burd, Raymond Fencil, Beverly Fencil, Melvin Rogerson, Sandra Mozden and Margaret Hoffman.
