Robert George “Bob” Ritchie, 73, of Uniontown, passed away suddenly Thursday, February 29, 2024, in WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va., with loving family by his side.
Bob was born October 10, 1950, in Pittsburgh, to Robert Charles Ritchie and Mildred Roesch Ritchie.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ritchie; brother, Tomas Ritchie; father-in-law, Raymond Jordan; brother-in-law, Kenneth Jordan; and sister-in-law, Patricia Gibson.
Bob was a 1969 graduate of German Township High School, served in the United States Navy from 1969-1973, and worked for Rockwell and Sensus for 38 years.
He was a loving and caring son, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, wood working and crafts.
He married the love of his life, Sandra Lee Jordan Ritchie on May 26, 1972.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Sandra Ritchie; children, Christi Ritchie (Brian) and Robert Ritchie (Rachel); grandchildren: Cody Ritchie (Michaela), Isabella Ritchie and Kaleigh Snyder; a great-grandchild, McKinley Ritchie; mother, Mildred Ritchie; mother-in-law, Lois Wingard; and siblings: Jeannie Freiburg, James Ritchie (Jerri), Ruth Roby (Dave) and Theresa Pierno (Bob); brother-in-law, Raymond Jordan (Donna); and sister-in-law, Tammy Kirkwood.
Friends will be received in THE SHELL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday. A Blessing service will be held at 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
