Melvin R. Teets, 63, of Brownfield, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at his home.
He was born January 24, 1961, in Uniontown, the son of the late David and June Morris Teets.
Melvin is survived by his children, Jodi Leydig (Clay) of Hopwood and Derek Teets of Brownfield; grandson, Ryler Mills; three brothers, David Teets of Uniontown, Bryan Teets (Mary) of Fairchance and Michael Teets (Kimberly) of Fairchance; sisters-in-law, Susie Smiley (Doug) of Smithfield and Brucette Mancini of Hopwood; and special buddy, “Louie”.
He is going home to be with the love of his life, wife, Sally Teets, after 45 years of marriage.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is also predeceased by a brother, Wendell Teets.
Melvin was a member of the National Guard and The Hutchinson Sportsman’s Club, an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed Rock and Roll music.
Family and friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, and from 10 until the hour of the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 8, with Pastor Pete Malik officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery.
