Shirley A. Shaffer Miller, 72, of Masontown, died Monday, March 4, 2024, in the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, following a brief illness.
Born in Waynesburg, on July 13, 1951, a daughter of the late William and Thelma J. Porter Shaffer.
Surviving is her beloved children, Michael Miller (Jamie) of Uniontown, Cynthia Miller (Chad) of Masontown, Mary Leadbeater (Keith) of Smithfield, and Tammy Brown (Wes) of McClellandtown; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Russell, Robert, David and Joseph; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Deceased are sisters, Betty, Diane, Rose, Mildred, Nancy and Marjorie in infancy, and brothers, Billy and Woodrow.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, at RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, hour of service, with Kevin Leadbeater officiating. Interment follows in Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Geneva, Pa.
Her family would like to extend their thanks to caregiver Sandy, and the staff of Amedisys Home Healthcare, especially Dess, Christy and Ray, for the loving care extended to Shirley during her illness.
