Mark J. “Sparky” Pierno, 66, of Mill Run, passed away peacefully, in his home, Wednesday, February 7, 2024, surrounded by his loving family, after a very short battle of pancreatic cancer.
He was born February 19, 1957, a son of the late Carl and Lois Hribal Pierno.
Mark was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed NASCAR.
Mark was a telephone lineman at Alltell for 20 years and currently was employed by Jupina Landscaping as a landscaper for the past 21 years.
When not working, Mark enjoyed spending time in his garage. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also loved his two huskies, Loki and Myaa.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Tryinia Shipley Pierno; and his children, Ryan (Heather), Andrea (Chris), Cody (Brianna); and his two grandchildren, Kinley and Coen. Mark is also survived by a sister, Janice (Dario) Piccolomini. He was also loved by many other friends and family.
In addition to his parents, Mark was predeceased by a brother, Carl “Booge” Pierno.
Friends were received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME LLC, Connellsville, with Pastor Randy Newell officiating the service. Interment followed in Indian Creek Baptist Cemetery.
