Ronald C. Clemmer, 73, of Smithfield, died Sunday, March 17, 2024, at his home.
Born in Morgantown, W.Va., on February 12, 1951, he was a son of the late Chester and Laurella Morgan Clemmer.
A 1969 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School, Ron retired after 33 years as a railroad conductor with CSX Transportation.
Surviving are his wife, Elaine Butorac Clemmer; a daughter, Heather Rena Bungard and husband, Joe of Morgantown, W.Va.; two grandsons, Riley and Ronan Bungard; two brothers and their wives, Russell and Beverly Clemmer of North Carolina and Harry and Betty Clemmer of Smithfield and their families.
Honoring his wishes, there will be no public services. Private graveside service will be held at the Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Geneva.
Arrangements are in the care of the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion.
