Stanley A. Dubos, 96, of Chestnut Ridge, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, in Monarch Meadow Personal Care Home, Uniontown.

He was born March 31, 1927, in Chestnut Ridge, to the late John and Veronica Hisnanick Dubos.

He graduated with Redstone High School Class of 1945.

Stanley was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War serving with the U.S. Army.

He was post master at Chestnut Ridge with 49 years of service.

He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.

Stanley is survived by his wife of 71 years, Elizabeth Hallo Dubos; four children, Diane Lancaster of Chestnut Ridge, Lawrence Dubos and wife Monica of Uniontown, Karen Fagan of Allison #2, Richard Dubos and wife Christina of Chestnut Ridge; five grandchildren, David Gleason and fiancee Jessica Lotman, Dr. Shane Fagan and fiancee Zana Huber, Dr. Ashley Dubos and fiance Dominic Balestreri, Victoria Spurr FNP-C and husband Nick, and Ryan Dubos.

He was the last survivor of his immediate family of 12.

Friends will receivedfrom 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 21, and until 8:30 a.m. Friday, March 22, when a prayer service will be held, in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville. A Funeral Mass will follow at 9 a.m. in St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, Grindstone, with the Rev. Fr. Efren Ambre officiating.

Entombment in Lafayette Memorial Park, with full military rites accorded by American Legion Posts 275, 940 and 838.
