Charles E. “Buddy” Martin, 76, of Hopwood, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024. He was born August 28, 1948, in Uniontown, a son of the late Emmet and Audrey Springer Martin.

He was the beloved husband of 52 years to Jean Kukan Martin; father of Erin (Jeremy) Stoll of Columbia, Md., and Charles “Bud” (Ryan) Martin of Hopwood; grandfather of Lily, Delaney and Emmet; brother of Rebecca Shepherd, Mark Martin, Kassie Guzik, Cyndi Robinson, David Martin and Jacob Martin.

Charles was a Vietnam veteran having served in the U.S. Army as a helicopter pilot. He was a lifelong member of the VFW, AMVETS and the American Legion. He also bowled for many years at Manor Lanes in Hopwood.

Visitation from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 11, in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, 603 N. Gallatin Avenue Ext., Uniontown, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 12. Interment will be in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, with full military honors accorded.
