Berwyn D. David passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024, with his loving family at his side. He was born December 22, 1930, in Uniontown, the only child of Clyde W. David and Mildred E. Franks David.
Berwyn was born and grew up on the family farm. He graduated from Georges Township High School in 1948.
He worked at Sears Roebuck as a department manager for 35 years.
He met the love of his life, Wilda Lee Holub, whom he married in 1950.
After retirement, Berwyn joined his father and son, Bill, in their Greenhouse operation at David’s Greenhouse. Berwyn was involved with David’s Greenhouse for more than 25 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Donnie David.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 74 years, Wilda; and his four children, Bill and wife Patty Deli David, Brenda Stephenson and husband Scott, Don David, and Lana Spiker and husband Scott.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and family from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday, November 17, in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, where visitation continues from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of a funeral service, Monday, November 18, with the Rev. Ken Jones officiating.
Private interment will follow in Jacob’s Evangelical Cemetery, Masontown.
