Linda L. McGalla Evans
formerly of Ronco
Linda L. McGalla Evans, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., formerly of Ronco, passed away Friday, October 18, 2024, peacefully, in her home, with her family by her side.
Linda was born October 7, 1944, a daughter of the late Andrew and Grace Easter McGalla.
Surviving Linda are four children, Charles Sowden III, Angie and husband Wes Shaffer, Pam and husband Matt Fader, Tammy and husband Robert Phillips. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Roy IV, Miranda, Jeffrey, Sean, Adam, Tisha, Andrea, Wes Jr. and Bella; and 14 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Darlene Barish, Marlene Dugan, Arlene Pollick, Francis McGalla, James McGalla Sr., Sheilah McGalla and Patty Watreas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her daughter, Deanna Evans; grandson, Anthony C. Riggleman, Sr.; nephew, James “Jake” McGalla; brothers, George McGalla, Harold McGalla and Andrew McGalla, Sr.; and sister, Georgian Foote.
A special “Thank You” to Agape Hospice of Myrtle Beach; her nurse, John; and her CNA, Tee for the great care given to her.
A private service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 23, in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, followed by interment in Greendale Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Ronco Fire Hall, Ronco.
