Margaret Lee Ryczek, 80, of Smithfield, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2024, in LaFayette Manor, Uniontown.
She was born March 10, 1944, in Winstead, a daughter of the late Ernest Newton and Isa Dora Tarr Wilson.
Margaret was a graduate of Albert Gallatin High School and was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church and the Rockwell Bowling League.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas A. Ryczek; sisters, Betty Smith, Shirley Baker, Ruth Devinney, Mary Bucklew; and brother, Robert Wilson. Margaret was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sandra Griffith and husband Samuel of Mechanicsville, Md., and Thomas A. Ryczek, Jr. and wife Kristie of Smithfield; six grandchildren, Matthew, Jamie, Sam and Nicholas Griffith, and Kacie and Cole Ryczek.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 17, in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, where visitation continues until the 10 a.m. hour of service Monday, November 18, in the Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Darrell Edgar officiating. Interment follows in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
